Scriptwriter for Engaging Documentary-Style YouTube Videos job at Shoutt International Ltd Remote, US

Job Description

ColdFusion, a well-established edutainment YouTube channel with around 5 million subscribers, is seeking the right Scriptwriter to join the team. Help create documentary-style videos dedicated to unraveling complex subjects in technology, business, and science, in an engaging and easy-to-understand format. Responsibilities:

Write scripts for 10-30 minute long documentary-style YouTube videos on a regular basis - around 2 videos per month.
Must have a high interest and knowledge in at least one vertical: technology, business or science. The more focused, the better.
Research skills with extreme attention to detail is critical for this role.
Collaborate with our content development team to ensure video content is in line with our overall storytelling strategy.
Evaluate and structure scripts for dramatic pacing and storytelling sequencing.
Present final edits to the key team for approval and make revisions based on the feedback received.
Stay updated on the latest trends and writing techniques for YouTube videos in similar niche.

Requirements:

Previous experience in either journalism, research in education or similar roles will be highly valued.
A portfolio of prior work showcasing your creativity and writing skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction and work collaboratively - particularly in a remote setting.
Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Knowledge and passion for tech, business, and science will be viewed favorably.
