We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support data-driven projects primarily from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The analyst will work with large-scale healthcare datasets to generate insights, support policy evaluation, and assist in reporting for CMS programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Extract, clean, and analyze CMS datasets (e.g., Medicare claims, Medicaid data, enrollment files).
• Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analysis to support healthcare policy and program evaluation.
• Develop dashboards, data visualizations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with policy analysts, economists, and data scientists to support research and modeling efforts.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with CMS and federal data security standards.
• Document methodologies and prepare technical documentation for reproducibility.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with healthcare data, preferably CMS datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (e.g., SAS, R, Python).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology, claims data, and CMS programs is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
