Business Development Manager - Staffing/Recruitment

Onsite in Phoenix, AZ (office located near Biltmore District)

Base salary + strong uncapped commission incentives + bonuses + benefits

Harnham’s Phoenix office is on an exciting growth trajectory, and we’re searching for a skilled business developer to help us build out a book of business for our permanent recruitment team. If you have experience in sales/business development and are looking to make a switch to recruitment, we'd love to speak with you.

No prior experience in Data & AI or recruitment? No problem. We’ll provide you with everything you need to succeed in this space. All we ask is that you bring a relentless work ethic, a team-first mentality, and the drive to hit the ground running.

The Job

  • Establish yourself as a market expert in Data & AI recruitment, taking full ownership of your book of business that you build out
  • Drive business development by engaging with new potential clients through cold calls, emails, lead generation, market research, client visits, and networking events
  • Negotiate fees and offers for candidates directly with clients
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients and candidates, ensuring exceptional service and honest communication
  • Set the standard for excellence, embodying Harnham’s values and leadership principles

About You

  • Proven experience in agency recruitment is preferred, however, we are more than happy to speak with those that have experience in business development or phone-based sales that would like to get into the recruitment industry
  • You must be skilled in bringing in new business and creating long term business opportunities with each client
  • Hungry for career progression with a clear path to growth based on performance.
  • Experienced in—or eager to dive into—the Data & AI space, bringing curiosity and adaptability to a fast-moving market
