Our client, a dynamic high growth distribution business is seeking to hire a driven, entrepreneurial VP, Finance to assist the CEO in achieving the company performance objectives including support of organic, acquisition and operational growth. The VP Finance will be responsible for all financial and KPI metric reporting aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • The VP Finance will lead the finance, accounting, treasury, IT, needs of the organization
  • You will use your strong commercial mindset and excellent business acumen to help lead and set a course for the company to grow and move forward
  • You will establish and drive the key financial metrics that will support and contribute to strategic decision-making
  • You excel at communicating complex financial and accounting issues in an easily comprehensible way for management and non-financial professionals to understand.

  • As a proactive member of the senior team, support the execution of its strategy and assist in driving well-defined targets; establish metrics and systems that maintain accountability and manage risks. Lead a rigorous and disciplined annual planning and forecasting process to provide analytical insight and direction to management decision makers, while dually ensuring that aggressive yet realistic plans are established.
  • Working with CEO and senior management team, ensure that the company develops and maintains an optimal capital structure, minimizing the cost of capital while maintaining financial flexibility.
  • Lead and manage the company’s treasury function, including financings and cash management activities.
  • Lead and manage the company’s accounting, control and tax function. Ensure that the company maintains adequate financial and non-financial controls and that it leverages information technology in the accumulation, analysis, interpretation and distribution of financial information.
  • Serve as both a financial and a business advisor to the CEO and other members of the leadership team.
  • Ensure that all levels of the company, and external constituents, are provided with accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting to run the business.
  • Extensive experience in budget planning, modeling, and generating practical insights and recommendations
  • Manage all finance and corporate functions
  • Relentless focus on performance, cash flow reporting/ analysis, labor, T&E, contracts, mid-month forecast
  • Vendor expertise – procurement
  • Partner to Operations
  • Ideally experience in real estate, supply chain, contracts
  • Has a network of partners - banks, accounting, legal

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in preferably distribution or services buisness
  • You have 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or other course of study
  • MBA in Finance and/or Economics is a plus CPA Strongly preferred
  • Experience in GAAP accounting, compliance, accounting regulations and regulatory functions required in operations
  • Strategic and Financial Planning & Analysis experience, including strong working knowledge of financial statements
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
