Responsibilities

Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets for department approval
Manage client relationships and contribute to business development
Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure client satisfaction and productivity
Oversee quality control for water and wastewater design projects
Supervise project work and productivity
Achieve targets for profit, productivity, and deliverable schedules
Develop and execute engineering methods for water and wastewater designs
Collaborate with consultants, agencies, communities, and contractors on project planning and permitting
Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specifications, technical papers, and permit applications
Lead planning and design of water supply, transmission, and distribution projects
Create and review conceptual drawings and construction documents
Conduct studies and prepare designs and contract documents for water infrastructure projects
Review utility connection applications for municipal and utility clients
Act as Client Manager when needed, managing client duties and developing new business

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering or civil engineering
PE license
8+ years of civil or environmental engineering experience with a concentration in water/wastewater design
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage clients and develop new business
Design experience with water and wastewater treatment plant processing and design preferred
Knowledgeable in permitting requirements and processes for water/wastewater collection and treatment projects
Experience with AutoCAD & OpenRoads (preferred)
Ability to manage a talented team of water and wastewater professionals
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
