Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management and EHS outsourcing. We are actively hiring a safety manager for the day and night shifts with experience in mechanical and construction safety for a new data center construction project in Mt. Pleasant, WI.

Position Details

Job Title: Safety Manager

Location: Mt. Pleasant, WI

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 8 - 12 months

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $48-$52/hr
• Per Diem: $125/day (paid for days worked; 7-day per diem if full workweek completed)
• Pay: Weekly

Schedule

• 50-60 Hours/week
• M - S, 6 10's for 2 weeks, then M-F, 5 10's.
• Night Shift Times: 5 pm - 3:30 am
• Day Shift Times: 5:30 am - 4 pm

Project Scope

Join a major build involving the installation of 200,000 ft of pipe and water lines for a state-of-the-art data center. With over 130+ skilled professionals on-site, your role will be critical in ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance across the project.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years in safety management or construction safety
• 3+ years of mechanical systems experience (preferably data centers or electrical projects)

Certifications:

• OSHA 510 (Required)
• BCSP certifications (CHST, CSP, STS-C, ASP) - Preferred

Language:

• Bilingual in English/Spanish - Preferred

Specialized Skills:

• Rigging experience - Preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site safety kick-off meetings and toolbox talks
• Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
• Oversee permitting processes for work activities
• Perform equipment inspections and site audits
• Prepare detailed safety documentation and reports
• Manage field safety and enforce compliance

Skills Required

• Strong public speaking and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information
