Job Description

CJR Renewables is seeking an experienced PV Designer to ensure the preparation of technical solutions for utility scale renewable energy projects, namely solar PV plants and BESS projects. Analyze all necessary technical and non-technical documentation in order to guarantee optimized and competitive designs according to Client’s requirements, internal norms and Hierarchical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Client’s documentation: drawings, technical specifications, reports, site conditions and other relevant
• Request For Proposal (RFP) documentation.
• Prepare Request For Information (RFI) in order to formally clarify with the Client all information necessary to complete the design.
• Execute preliminary layouts, define main equipment location and perform accurate system sizing.
• Generate associated bill of materials (BOM) by using internal forms.
• Perform simulations of solar photovoltaic generation system performance and energy production.
• Meet with Supervisors in order to perform the final review of technical solutions and design.
• Participate in site visits.
• Participate in technical meetings, both internal (P&D team) and external (Supplier, Subcontractors, Clients).
• Keep Design folders organized and up to date.
• Work with Compliance to ensure compliance with ongoing programs.
• Adopt behavior and attitude that aligns with CJR Renewables’ organizational values to achieve the company's mission and vision.
• Comply with and promote the company requirements established in CJR Renewables’ Integrated Management System (LMS), Quality and Health and Safety procedures, and work procedures.

Main Duties:

• Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Analyze technical solutions and develop competitive alternatives.
• Elaborate all technical documents (layouts, calculations, system sizing).
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) according to developed design.
• Ensure compliance with the Management System.
• Ensure continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in PVCase, PVSyst & AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of national codes and standards.
• Critical Thinking
• Proactivity
• Excellent communication skills

Other Qualifications:

• US Driver's License
• Availability to travel
