Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Salisbury, NC. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical machine operations and repairs. This role is crucial for planning, supervising, and executing the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will serve as the central point of contact for the purchase, installation, and testing of all new equipment. You will also oversee grounds maintenance, ensure facility cleanliness, and enforce safety regulations. Proficiency in basic welding, parts fabrication, and PLC work is essential.

This position involves managing a team of electro-mechanical maintenance technicians.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed effectively.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment, including welding and fabrication of parts.
• Conduct diversified duties for the installation and maintenance of production machines and facility equipment.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provide emergency repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute maintenance and service.
• Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform basic machinist duties and various plumbing and carpentry functions.
• Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detect and report faulty operations or defective materials to supervision.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience/Training Required:

• 5+ years of relevant management and technical experience, with a proven ability to manage teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in maintenance management in a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate complex relationships.
• Experience creating and managing preventative maintenance programs.
• Attention to detail and strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Electrical knowledge and experience with PLCs are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in welding (MIG) is a plus.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to stand for long periods, climb, stoop, and work overhead.
• Basic math skills and full finger/hand dexterity are required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Must possess your own basic hand and mechanical tools.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Oversee all Maintenance Department employees.
