Job Description

The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client for commercial projects. The candidate should be able to provide design services to dealership customers, including programming, space planning, development of typicals, color boards and digital presentations, working/installation drawings, specifications and site-to-plan review. Works closely with dealership sales, order entry and installation groups, as well as customers, to ensure accurate plans and specifications, conformance to client’s requirements, customer satisfaction and high quality project implementation.

Responsibilities

• Create attractive designs and layouts for various projects
• Meet with client in order to understand the client's objectives and desires
• Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client's needs
• Prepare presentations (3D, 2D,mock-ups and renderings) for clients
• Create quotes for clients and ensure full workflow is followed
• Maintain industry knowledge in order to stay relevant

Qualifications

• 1) Minimum of two years of experience in commercial contract furniture industry design; experience with Herman Miller products extremely helpful
• 2) Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design
• 3) State of Florida Interior Design License
• 4) NCIDQ Certification
• 5) Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAP, and Z-Axis
• 6) Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
