Position: Install Technician

Location: Manhattan, KS

Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour

Company Vehicle & Cell Phone Provided

Full-Time | Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

About the Role

A well-established security systems company is seeking an experienced Install Technician to join their growing team in Columbia, MO. This role focuses on the installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of Access Control and IP Video Surveillance Systems for commercial clients.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality installations and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

• Install, configure, and maintain IP Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems.
• Work with platforms like Axis, Milestone, Gallagher, Bosch, Lenel, Genetec, and more.
• Troubleshoot and repair networked security systems to ensure peak performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for installations.
• Perform structured cabling work including pulling wire, mounting cameras, and installing security hardware.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and any system issues.
• Attend monthly in-house training and 1-3 vendor training sessions per year to stay up to date with industry advancements.
• Maintain a clean and professional image, including keeping the company vehicle well-maintained.
• Work independently while ensuring outstanding customer service and communication.
• Occasionally work overtime and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3-5 years of experience in IP Video Surveillance and Access Control System installation.
• Familiarity with a variety of IP cameras and video management platforms (e.g., Axis, Milestone).
• Strong experience installing networked access control systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical labor as needed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong professional demeanor and customer service skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to an FBI-level background check & 10-panel drug screen.
