Goebel Fasteners, Inc. is a full line manufacturer/distributor of standard and metric fasteners, including blind rivets, self-tapping/drilling screws, drill bits, nut drivers, toggle latches, hand & power tools, and innovative specialty products. We are looking for experienced Inside Sales Representatives to help Goebel Fasteners, Inc. exceed sales goals using a combination of selling skills, product knowledge, and order administration abilities. Description:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for growing assigned sales territories and/or industry segments. This individual will work as part of a team to develop phone-based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.

This position requires a goal oriented person with a high level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic. A positive attitude and a friendly demeanor are essential in working with our clientele. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in B2B distribution sales and will be able to offer technical information while selling quality products. This is a direct customer facing sales role – you will be a hunter – a target-driven individual contributor with a collaborative team focus in the North American market.

Essential Functions

- Achieve and exceed revenue quota targets by winning new contracts and orders through prospecting and developing new customer relationships

- Conduct strategic account reviews with all assigned customers regularly to assess their needs and align services or products with agreed business goals.

- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and users within customer organizations, spanning various departments including purchasing, engineering, management, manufacturing, scheduling/logistics, and quality.

- Provide customers/prospects/contacts with product information and technical support

- Respond to requests for quote and communicate pricing structure

- Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities

- Enter orders per customer specifications and track fulfillment process to completion

- Work with purchasing to coordinate pricing and product lead times for non-stock items

- Answer phones and emails with proper business etiquette

- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company data

- Develop new contacts in customer database via cold-calling & generating new leads

- Work with manager on a continual basis to achieve performance goals

- Participate in continuous learning and accurate organized usage of CRM platform

- Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

- Maintain professionalism and communication to maintain customer and vendor relationships

- Model company culture reflecting positivity and core values in all actions

- Represent Goebel Fasteners, Inc. in a positive and professional manner and maintain excellent customer service

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications

- Minimum 2-4 years successful sales experience in industrial sales, preferably in the fastener industry

- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited four-year university or have strong mechanical aptitude with at least four years’ experience selling fasteners or related product.

- Proven track record of growing business through successful long-term relationships with key customers and core suppliers

- Strong proficiency in clear and concise interpersonal and communications skills

- Basic computer skills including experience with CRM maintenance, Quoting, and Order Management is required. Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, Word, and Excel

- Proven experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.

- Ability to work and to interact with customers and employees while demonstrating tact, sensitivity, discretion and professionalism

- Strong keyboarding and proofreading skills that result in minimal errors

- You must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident

- Sitting 80% of time, standing and movement 20% of time
