Job Overview

We are currently seeking a HR & Payroll Specialist to provide support for payroll processing and Human Resources activities. This job requires the ability to handle high volume transactions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll cycle and expense reports ensuring that all employees are paid in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Ensure payroll changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll and tax processes (W2, 401K, 1099)
  • Assist with Benefits administration, including; new hire and annual enrollment, claims, and leaves of absence
  • Set up new hires in the HR system and assist with the onboarding process
  • Organize and maintain record keeping files ensuring appropriate file segregation particularly as it relates to compliance with HIPAA privacy rules
  • Maintain employee health and benefit programs, interpreting company insurance programs to employees and dependants. Correspond with physicians, insurance companies and employees regarding claims and administration
  • Collaborate with Management team to oversee employee social events
  • Implement and maintain employee new hire orientation training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or other related field
  • 3 years of experience in a Payroll Administration or Human Resources Generalist role
  • Working knowledge of payroll, employment/labor laws and tax processing is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of data sources, data organization and storage
  • ADP Workforce Now experience Required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, research, and time management skills
  • Organized and attentive to details
  • Demonstrates perseverance and is goal-oriented in a growing organization
  • Microsoft Excel and Outlook
