Job Description

Communication Resources Northwest is looking for a creative and detail-driven graphic designer to join our growing communication consulting firm. We work with private professional service firms in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry as well as public agencies. Success in this role means working with both internal and client-facing teams as a responsible and collaborative partner, translating and communicating technical processes, stories, and design ideas and concepts through a variety of graphic and social media deliverables.

Qualified candidates will thrive in a collaborative, responsive environment. They will embrace an iterative approach to design. They will balance ideation and creative problem-solving with strong planning, prioritization, and management skills. Their design experience may include layout design, diagramming, brand development, illustration, and other modes of graphic storytelling. Their experience will also include social media creation and management. Ideal candidates will have successful past experience working alongside professionals and subject matter experts in technical fields.

Technical Skills

• Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) required
• Strong PPT skills to create presentation visuals required
• Familiarity with document production (printing, binding, creating booklets, etc.) required
• Strong social media experience in content creation and campaign management desired
• Experience and familiarity with web design using various design platforms (Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, Weebly, etc.) desired
• Technical editing and writing skills (grammar and punctuation) desired
• Other design skills such as illustration, videography, and photography are valued

Work Style

• Proactive communicator able to communicate and work effectively in an efficient manner with multiple people
• High attention to detail and precision, with a commitment to producing highest quality deliverables
• Able to manage and coordinate a fluctuating workload with changing priorities and quick turnaround deadlines
• Strong organization, planning, prioritization, and time management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related experience
• 2-4 years of experience in graphic design
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
• Portfolio of work
