Our client in The Woodlands, TX is looking to add a new Finance Manager to their team! This is a great opportunity for someone coming straight out of public accounting that wants to transition into industry or someone coming out of a fund accounting/PE environment. FINANCE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct the accounting functions and financial reporting for multiple portfolio entities
  • Drive consistency by implementing unified processes and accounting standards
  • Track financial outcomes across entities and pinpoint areas for performance enhancement
  • Collaborate with leadership at portfolio companies to ensure timely financial deliverables
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models and budget scenarios
  • Compile consolidated financial reports and executive summaries
  • Deliver in-depth analysis and tailored reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assemble comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial packages
  • Provide variance commentary and strategic business insights
  • Create and enforce finance policies and control procedures across entities
  • Spearhead improvements in system architecture and accounting automation
  • Lead system implementations and upgrades across financial platforms
  • Design standardized templates for recurring reports and dashboards
  • Ensure all entities comply with GAAP and relevant accounting standards
  • Establish and monitor internal control systems for risk mitigation
  • Oversee preparation for audits and maintain relationships with audit partners
  • Support tax reporting and compliance efforts across the portfolio
  • Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and guide accounting professionals supporting portfolio companies
  • Provide financial insight to investment professionals for decision-making
  • Coordinate across departments to support integrated financial planning
  • Foster a culture of best practice sharing across the finance teams
  • Conduct trainings to support finance staff development

FINANCE MANAGER EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA HIGHLY PREFERRED!
  • Minimum of 5 years in accounting/finance - Straight out of public accounting or PE/Fund Accounting
