The Role

As a design intern, you will work directly with the senior designer to help bring product from concept to delivery. You will be exposed to various stages of the product life cycle - trend research, concept & color development, fabric selection, print & graphic artwork development, and product creation. You will gain exposure to both creative and administrative functions and be an integral member of our design team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the design team with the development of tech packs and initial measurement specs
  • Create and update sketches and linesheets
  • Research market trends and concepts that support the brand identity
  • Source and develop fabrics and trims
  • Design data entry
  • Assist in creating concept boards, art direction for prints and graphics, and color palettes
  • Communicate with factories
  • Cultivate relationships and effectively communicate with cross-functional partners including technical design, merchandising, planning, production, marketing, and inventory

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program
  • Must be in junior year (rising senior at time of internship)
  • Must be majoring in Fashion Design
  • Demonstrates a strong passion for the apparel industry
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to deepen knowledge of apparel design and product development
  • Proficient in Google Suite programs
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Highly organized
