Fabrication Specialist
Are you a craftsperson at heart? Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for working with your hands? We’re looking for a Reflector Fabrication Specialist to help us build large, high-precision reflectors from thin-film plastics. This is more than just a job—it’s an art.
If you love sewing, origami, model-making, or working with delicate materials, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
What You’ll Do:
🔹 Transform reflector designs into testable units using hand and machine tools.
🔹 Design and build custom jigs and tooling to improve reflector prototyping.
🔹 Collaborate with engineers to identify and solve design challenges.
🔹 Develop infrastructure to handle and assemble very large reflectors.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience crafting detailed, high-quality models on tight timelines.
✅ Basic CAD skills & experience designing custom jigs and tools.
✅ Hands-on experience with laser cutters, vinyl cutters, hand tools, and a willingness to learn new techniques.
✅ Clean room experience is a plus!
✅ Backgrounds in tailoring, architecture, sculpture, fine arts, or space hardware fabrication are all welcome!
