Director of OEM Sales. This position reports to Vice President of Business Development, Marine and will work in remotely within the United States.
About The Position The Director of OEM Sales is responsible for leading the execution of Dometic Marine’s OEM sales strategy. This role manages the OEM team of National Sales Manager and their teams supporting them to drive profitable growth, deepen customer relationships, and expand system selling in Ride & Handling, Boat Living, and Mobile Power Solutions categories.
Your Main Responsibilities - Enhance management's effectiveness by communicating values, strategies, and objectives.
- Set overall and territory-specific objectives, assign accountabilities, plan, monitor, and evaluate performance, and track results.
- Negotiate, manage, and ensure proper administration of supply agreements with key customers and buying groups.
- Monitor and report competitive actions that could impact our business to key stakeholders.
- Develop and present annual sales forecasts to Senior Management, detailing assumptions and guidance by facility, sales channel, and product group.
- Achieve objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results; allocate resources, review progress, and make mid-course corrections.
- Monitor sales vs. plan and present outliers at weekly Ops calls. Propose actions when missing plan.
- Review sales results against plans and budgets with Staff and Group Management monthly via the commercial reporting package (CRP).
- Implement contingencies and escalate issues when objectives are not met.
- Develop strategic sales plans reflecting longer-term objectives and priorities established by the President. Coordinate efforts by establishing field sales and technical services policies and practices.
- Facilitate Engineering Objectives and New Product pipeline through customer feedback and market insights.
- Drive accountability for sales objectives and ensure performance standards are understood and owned by all regional managers, sales reps, and employees.
- Build the company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees, and enforcing ethical business practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic customers and trade organizations.
- Maintain quality services by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Perform additional job duties and assignments up to 15% of the time.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within Sales Leadership & OEM Product Sales – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
- Post-Secondary Education in Business or Engineering is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in B2B sales.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management position with direct reports.

- Ability to identify market changes and relate them to the business's success.
- Proficiency in providing business leadership concerning changing market conditions and customer base.

- Strong proficiency with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn other applications quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work well independently and lead a strong team.
