Job Description

Job Title: Director of Events

Job Overview: The Director of Events is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of all events within Schulson Collective. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each event aligns with the company’s goals and brand. The Director of Events will work closely with internal events and catering teams, vendors, and clients to deliver successful events that meet or exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Management:
    • Develop and implement event strategies and objectives.
    • Plan and execute events, including conferences, trade shows, corporate meetings, and special events.
    • Coordinate all event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodations.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage the events and catering team, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Budget Management:
    • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring events are delivered within budget constraints.
    • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best rates and services.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for events.
    • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including invitations, brochures, and social media content.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, and partners.
    • Communicate event details and updates to stakeholders and ensure their needs are met.
  • Event Execution:
    • Supervise event setup, execution, and teardown.
    • Ensure all events run smoothly and address any issues that arise promptly.
  • Post-Event Evaluation:
    • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event.
    • Gather feedback from attendees, clients, and team members to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Budget management experience.

Work Environment:
