Local or Travel Caregiver Contract Assignment - West Virginia Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Hospital

Position: DSP/Caregiver, Health Service Worker/Personal Care Assistant. CNA license is not required, but are also encouraged to apply.

Location: Huntington, WV

Pay: Local: $23/HR (this is a full time contract scheduled 36-40 hours a week)

Traveler $24/HR (traveling to area and staying in housing near the facility)

Shift: Must be open to any shift. Will get assigned shift during orientation. Mandation is possible.

Shifts: 8, 12 or 16 HR shifts.

Length: 6 months

Start: Start dates are generally every other Monday. Orientation is about two weeks long and occurs during business hours. You can not miss any orientation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct daily care to residents of the psychiatric hospital facility
• Monitor and report any health changes to LPN or RN
• Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of direct care experience, preferably in a behavioral health care setting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening prior to start
• Must pass criminal background check. No felonies. Must receive WV Cares clearance
• Valid Driver's license
