Sodexo seeks a Clinical Dietitian to join its team at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in North Glendale, CA. USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, part of Keck Medicine of USC, has been serving the needs of patients in the cities of Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge, as well as the surrounding Foothill communities of Southern California for more than 40 years.

What You'll Do


  • B e responsible for supporting the inpatient clinical nutrition team as needed, based on clinical staffing needs
  • Work closely as part of the clinical team and play an integral role with a mission to exceed client satisfaction through the application of Sodexo programs
  • Provide 1:1 counseling to patients and family as needed
  • Work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
  • Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
  • Mentor dietetic interns

What You Bring


  • A registered dietitian credential, and a preferred advanced degree, Master's, and/or advanced certification, is preferred
  • Prior experience in the acute care setting with a variety of patient populations
  • The ability and desire to maintain and advance clinical skills
  • Work closely as part of the clinical team and play an integral role with a mission to exceed client satisfaction through the application of Sodexo programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, be a self-starter, and a team player

Qualifications & Requirements


Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
