Insight Global is seeking a Chemist to work with one of it’s top energy industry clients. In this role, you will conduct standard tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, and may train others to perform these tests as needed. You will ensure testing is carried out according to established methods and procedures, maintaining the quality of work through rigorous quality assurance testing and documentation. Accurate recording, reporting, and certifying of test results are essential. You will diagnose laboratory equipment malfunctions, solve problems, and perform routine maintenance and calibrations on laboratory equipment. Creating QA documents and protocols to ensure compliance and quality standards is also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will monitor process control of plant streams, product purity, fuel gas composition, liquefied petroleum products, and various levels of hydrogen. Supporting other departments in sampling, testing, and compliance monitoring, maintaining lab supplies and equipment, operating chromatographs, shipping samples designated as hazardous, monitoring drinking water streams for compliance, and checking emissions compliance (state certified) are part of your duties. You will provide support to operations with product blending, develop new methods and procedures, and coordinate with outside testing laboratories for special requests and compliance testing. Special assignments may include leading the development and implementation of security architecture standards and guidelines, participating in and leading architecture reviews, facilitating security risk trade-off discussions, improving the architectural decision-making process, assessing technology options, resolving complex IT/OT security architectural challenges, staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their applicability, drafting risk-aware adoption plans, promoting best practices in technology development, integration, and architecture within the team and the broader organization, and identifying potential risks in solution design and architecture, developing mitigation strategies.
Compensation:
$30/hr to $37/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
