We are dedicated to empowering established farmers and ranchers, as well as those embarking on new agricultural ventures. NFN provides strategic guidance and risk mitigation strategies, enabling our members to navigate the complexities of the modern agricultural landscape and build resilient businesses. NFN currently has 435+ members and are adding another approx 500 members in our current offering. NFN plans on harnessing the power of our member network of NFN to promote a surplus of new business that would be advantageous to the growth potential of our company stock.
Role Overview:
Nebraska Farmers Network is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a highly motivated, sales-oriented, results-driven and experienced Business Development Representative (“BDR”) to fuel our expansion. This role is pivotal in securing the necessary capital to protect Nebraska’s farmland. This role is designed for a highly motivated, accomplished professional who has a strong desire to grow quickly alongside NFN. This role is essential in driving the growth of our real estate investment fund by identifying and securing new members. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of real estate investment, and a proven ability to build and maintain strong investor relationships.
At Nebraska Farmers Network, we know that the key to growth is a high-performing sales team. That’s why we’re seeking a qualified BDR to screen potential investors who could benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. This role requires a quick learner with excellent communication skills and the ability to present our offerings persuasively. Every potential prospect is an opportunity for boosting top-line growth and investor acquisition levels.
Job Description:
- Identify and engage potential investors interested in supporting our mission to preserve Nebraska farmland.
- Present compelling investment opportunities (ranging from $15k-$150k+) to high-net-worth individuals, family farms and ranches, and other potential business partners, with a target of reaching 40 presentations per month.
- Travel within Nebraska to meet with potential investors on-site, we’re looking for a candidate who is flexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented.
- Leverage a proprietary referral system to access warm and hot leads, maximizing your time and efforts.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with investors, ensuring their continued support and involvement.
- Develop and execute strategic capital raising plans to meet organizational goals.
- Responsible for day-to-day activities focused mostly on directly engaging with potential investors.
- Develop and implement strategic capital raising plans.
- Keep the team informed of your progress and assist in the investor onboarding process.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, investment models, and property values to inform investment decisions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align sales strategies with overall company goals.
- Investor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential investors to foster trust and facilitate ongoing investment opportunities
Support in managing new leads and outreach:
- Organize internal documentation related to outreach and communications for new leads.
- Update internal systems related to lead tracking, such as Hubspot CRM, Office 365, and internal tracking documents.
- Research new potential leads to identify alignment.
- Support in the creation of summary and outreach materials.
- Maintain internal systems, processes, and documentation related to reporting.
- Manage all communications and provide general customer service to members of NFN.
- This could include good-will stops, calls, emails, newsletters, webinars, or other general communications.
- Lead Management: Follow up on all investor leads and inquiries, ensuring consistent communication and engagement until deals are closed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Must be able to work across Nebraska, traveling to various Nebraska counties.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an unwavering hunger for success and a drive to exceed goals.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of pitching and closing complex deals.
- Familiarity with or connection to agriculture, farming, or ranching is a plus.
- Comfortable delivering persuasive pitches and closing deals during on-site visits.
- Highly coachable, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Self-sufficient and disciplined, with the ability to work independently and achieve ambitious targets.
- Proactive self-starter who is not afraid to ask challenging questions and is driven to take initiative.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with multiple audiences.
- Skilled at addressing investor concerns and objections, such as “I need to think about it.”

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in real estate investments, investor relations, financial services, or related fields.
- Proven track record in having a successful sales career. Grit, perseverance, and a positive mindset are essential for overcoming obstacles and setbacks that are inevitable in sales. Viewing failures as opportunities for growth and learning allows you to continuously improve and refine your sales techniques.
- Experience with CRM software, preferably Hubspot.

Compensation:
This is a full-time position. The salary range for this position is $75,000.00-$110,000.00 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications.
