Job Description

Job description

BAE provides Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to individuals with autism and other neurodiversities that is person-centered using assent-based assessments, interventions, and goal planning.

Behavior Technicians work with clients in a variety of settings, such as schools, home, and clinics. Our interventions focus on identifying strengths, building upon those strengths, and teaching skills that are socially valid to individuals and their families. Whether you are new to ABA or continuing in your practice, you will learn, grow, and advance your professional career within BAE through extensive training, hands on supervision and ongoing collaboration.

BAE requires Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification for our Behavior Technicians and covers all costs associated with maintaining certification.

Advanced behavior technicians who are working towards MA certification are eligible to apply to our Behavior Consultant supervised fieldwork position, leading towards a career as a BCBA. In this position, you will gradually experience behavioral analytic activities through the use of a portfolio and BCBA mentorship that will prepare you for your next steps.

The Behavior Technician Mission

  • Understand and apply the foundational techniques of applied behavior analysis
  • Implement ABA treatment programs under the design and supervision of a BCBA
  • Use clinical judgment throughout session to adjust techniques for best learning outcomes
  • Offer parent training in a helpful and nonjudgmental partnership with caregivers
  • Choose approaches that are respectful, age appropriate, and motivating
  • Use a compassionate manner to de-escalate and diffuse, and get back to learning
  • Prioritize functional communication and developing replacement behaviors
  • Implement goals and collect data with fidelity
  • Communicate frequently and proactively with team members

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, child development, education, or another human services field
  • Experience working with individuals of various ages and disabilities
  • Must be comfortable driving at least a 10 mile radius
  • Ability to move quickly and engage in physical interventions when needed (specifically requires agility to bend/stoop, lift/hold up to 50 lbs, and to physically support the client's weight using appropriate procedures and team supports)
  • RBT Certification
  • NV LRBT

  • Rerouted or paid for same-day cancelled sessions
  • Paid trainings provided upon hire and throughout employment
  • RBT renewal reimbursement or up front cost coverage
  • Materials and technology supports for session
  • High level of BCBA and leadership team involvement
  • Supervised fieldwork models
