Job Description

A full time Associate Designer is needed for a successful mass market private label company based in Downtown LA. This role will work on the Tween Girls division. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for designing apparel for tween girls, excellent sketching skills, and a solid understanding of knit and woven construction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team and contribute to the development of fresh, innovative designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of seasonal collections for the Tween Girls division.
• Create detailed sketches, CADs, and technical flats.
• Research market trends, fabrics, and trims to support new designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and merchandising, to ensure design feasibility.
• Maintain design boards, inspiration boards, and fabric libraries.
• Participate in fittings and assist with garment construction evaluations.
• Support the team in preparing for presentations and meetings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in tween/girls fashion.
• Strong sketching and technical design skills.
• Knowledge of knit and woven fabrications and garment construction.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Passion for designing for the tween market and understanding of current fashion trends.
